ELEVATE

The STAR/PAL Middle School program is designed to support students in grades six through eight during a critical stage of personal, emotional, and social development. Through the eight-week ELEVATE program, students are guided through age-appropriate discussions that encourage self-awareness, responsible decision-making, and healthy choices both in and out of school.

ELEVATE helps middle school students better understand themselves and the world around them by addressing real-life challenges such as peer pressure, social media use, mental health awareness, and personal responsibility. Sessions are interactive and discussion-based, creating a safe and respectful environment where students are encouraged to participate, ask questions, and build confidence.

The program is delivered over eight weeks and is typically held on campus during the school day or in a structured group setting. Each week builds on the previous session, allowing students to gradually develop skills and apply what they learn to everyday situations. Instruction includes understanding emotions, making responsible choices, using social media safely, recognizing the importance of mental wellness, learning basic juvenile law concepts, building healthy relationships, and understanding the risks associated with substance use.

Trained STAR/PAL staff and volunteers lead the ELEVATE program with an emphasis on open dialogue, trust, and accountability. Presenters work closely with students to reinforce positive values while helping them understand how decisions can impact their future and the people around them.

STAR/PAL partners with schools and community organizations to bring the Middle School program directly to students. Program availability is based on scheduling and capacity, and early coordination is encouraged for schools or groups interested in participating.
