  • It's time for the annual STAR/PAL Surf Clinic!

    Join law enforcement officers & other volunteers for:

    What: STAR/PAL Surf Clinic
    The annual STAR/PAL Surf Clinic brings together law enforcement officers, firefighters, & lifeguards from a variety of agencies in San Diego to teach 60 boys & girls the fundamentals of surfing while learning about water safety. Youth 9-15 years old are eligible to participate.

    When: Friday, August 22nd, 2014 (Rain or Shine)
    • 9:30am-10:00am*: Youth registration (*no youth admitted after 10 am)
    • 10:00am: Introduction & water safety talk/surf lesson
    • 10:20am: Free surf with volunteers
    • 11:45am: Lunch
    • 12:30pm-2:00pm: Beach games and free surf with volunteers
    Where: Silver Strand State Beach, (Parking Lot #3)
